“I will put my trust in him.” And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.” (Heb 2:13)
As usual, the children did exceptionally well last year. Yet again, we had a number who were recommended to ‘skip’ a year and get double promotion. The only difficult thing about that is, we still have to pay for the year they skipped, so in some ways it’s like having extra children. However, we are not complaining too much – we are way too proud of them for their achievements!
Most continue to do well and ‘rank’ in either the top 10 or 20. Out of a class size of between 40-50, this is certainly remarkable. We have also taken on 5 more children taking our ‘little’ group to a rounded figure of 50! Eek! – we remember saying no more than 20 to our Indian partners 5 years ago. We obviously didn’t have the same vision they did!
Health wise – no complaints there either. Our cook continues to do a fantastic job of feeding them all, and we are so grateful for the staff who have provided genuine care and affection to this rather large bunch of busy children. We have also recently been blessed by a teacher who offers his time to help with extra tuition for the children; he is a great story teller too, and he appears to have won over many hearts.
